I recently stumbled upon today's book highlight As a long-time Disney fan, I've always adored the movie "Twitches." To my surprise, I never knew that it was actually based on a book!

About H.B. Gilmour
Gilmour was a bestselling author of children's books. She grew up in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, and started her career in publishing at E.P. Dutton before joining Bantam Books in 1964. She wrote novelizations and children's books while working full-time and raising her daughter. In 1995, she left Scholastic to focus on writing. She passed away on June 21, 2009, survived by her husband, daughter, stepchildren, and step-grandchildren.
